What is the Best Way to Buy Tea?
There are so many teas on the market right now, that there is truly something for everyone to choose from. If you have never been a tea lover, it may be time that you jump back in and give it another try. White teas, black teas and green teas all offer uniquely different flavors that should appease just about anyone’s taste buds.
During your search for a tea item that you like, one of the first priorities that you should keep in mind is how the tea is packed. This will play a huge part in how good the tea tastes. There is a reason that certain teas only cost a few dollars for a 100 bags and while you may pay double that for certain other brands. Before you just write those other teas off and end up buying something that is not up to par, you may want to reconsider.
Most of the tea that you find in a cellophane wrap or that are paper wrapped are not going to be of the highest quality. This is not a knock on Tetley or any of the other common teas, as they do serve a purpose, but for a true tea connoisseur they are probably not going to pass muster. By upgrading slightly, you can have a much better product that will hold up a lot longer.
When you are buying a quality tea, you will want to look for teas that are individually foil wrapped or in sealed canisters. Again, this is going to cost you a bit more, but the flavor rewards are well worth it. The true flavor of the tea will be preserved and you will taste the tea with its true flavors. In all honesty, the markup is not that significant, at least not comparable to the flavor differences in the tea.
You can often find them in sample packs to try out what you like before you buy bulk quantities. We recommend that you do this because you will get a better feel for the different teas. Actually, you may be able to go onto some of their websites and request free samples that will be mailed directly to you. And who doesn’t like trying something for free?
