Finally, a Book on Hawaiian Coffee That Gives True Insight on Their Wonderful Blends

Some of the Hawaiian blends of coffee are absolutely incredible, but until now I have not read a book that tells the story as well as “The Hawaii Coffee Book .” Written by Shawn Steiman, this is a truly revealing look at the history of the area in regards to coffee and a breakdown of the area, region by region, for complete flavor profiles.

While all of that information alone is worth the price of the book, it also features some absolutely incredible recipes that work coffee into the cooking method. For those of us that can never get enough of that wonderful coffee flavor, your taste buds will be moist with envy as you turn the pages. While you can naturally assume that some chocolate desserts will go well with a coffee infusion, working our favorite beverage into things like ‘Ahi Tuna and Lamb may have never crossed your mind.

In addition to all of this, Shawn also gives some basic tips that some of us may need a refresher course on. From how to store your coffee to how to brew it properly, you will find a lot of useful information that may make your next cup of coffee the best one that you have ever had. Everything is presented in laymen’s terms and there is no “coffee snobbery” that you may find in some of the other coffee books that are currently in stores.

You should know that this book in not written by some fan of coffee, but a man that has truly devoted his life to it. Mr. Steiman has a PhD from the University of Hawaii-Monoa specializing in Coffee Studies. His opinion is much sought after by local and national growers alike. This is a rare opportunity to truly get into the head of someone who literally knows just about everything that there is know about coffee.
